(Policy)Advertising

Ad policy.

What can run on Mega Tickets USA, how every ad is labeled, and how we review it before it goes live.

Last updated: October 31, 2026Ad Policy v2026-10-31

What this covers

This policy applies to every paid placement on megaticketsusa.com — today, the billboards on the home page, on the event pages and on the Live Wire pages (news, artists and charts). An ad is your image, its description and the page it links to: all of them have to follow this policy for as long as the ad runs.

Our billboards appear on every page of the kind you book, including the pages of family and all-ages events. So every ad, and the page it links to, has to be suitable for a general audience, teenagers included.

This policy is part of our Advertising Terms; booking an ad means agreeing to both.

What we don't accept

  • Competing ticketing platforms — Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, DICE and other ticket sellers, marketplaces and resellers. A link to your event on one of them counts too.
  • Alcohol, cannabis, CBD and hemp, tobacco and vapes, and gambling — see the next section for exactly what this covers.
  • Adult content — nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive content, adult entertainment and sexual services.
  • Weapons — firearms, ammunition, explosives, other weapons and their accessories, and gun shows.
  • Drugs — illegal or recreational drugs, drug paraphernalia, prescription medicines, and products sold for an intoxicating effect, such as kratom or nitrous oxide.
  • Political or cause advertising — candidates, parties, ballot measures and campaigns on political or social issues.
  • Misleading promises — health “cures” and miracle weight loss, easy money, pyramid and multi-level schemes, payday loans, fake buttons, fake alerts or fake countdowns.
  • Hate, violence and shock — attacks on people for who they are, threats or glorified violence, and graphic or disturbing images.
  • Anything that copies the Mega Tickets USA brand or could be mistaken for our own content.
  • Anything illegal — including counterfeit goods, events you aren't allowed to promote, and offers that discriminate in housing, jobs or credit.

Alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and gambling

For now, we can't keep an ad off the pages of family and all-ages events. Until we can, we don't accept ads for:

  • Alcohol — beer, wine, spirits, hard seltzer and other alcoholic drinks; their brands, makers (breweries, wineries, distilleries), distributors and stores, and alcohol delivery; and offers built around drinking, such as happy hours, drink specials, open bars, bottle service and bar crawls.
  • Cannabis, CBD and hemp — marijuana; CBD products of any kind; hemp-derived THC such as delta-8, delta-9, delta-10 or THCA; dispensaries and CBD or hemp shops; and cannabis events and lounges.
  • Tobacco and vapes — cigarettes, cigars, hookah, pipe and smokeless tobacco, nicotine pouches, e-cigarettes and vapes (with or without nicotine), and smoke, vape, hookah and cigar shops and lounges.
  • Gambling — casinos, sports betting, poker, online and sweepstakes casinos, paid fantasy sports, lotteries and raffles, and any game where people pay for a chance to win a prize.

In practice:

  • The ad can't show, name or promote any of these — no drinks, bottles, cans, cigars, vapes, chips or bets in the art, and none in the description.
  • Makers, brands, distributors and stores of these products — for example a brewery, a liquor or smoke shop, a dispensary, a casino or a sportsbook — can't advertise, even with an ad that doesn't mention them.
  • Events built around them — a beer or wine festival, a tasting, a poker night or a cigar night — can't be advertised.
  • Restaurants, bars, clubs, venues and event organizers are welcome. Advertise your food, your music, your events or your place — just without the drinks. Naming the venue where your event happens is fine, even if it's inside a casino or its name mentions a drink — and so is your own venue's name.
  • If your event or venue is for adults only (18+ or 21+), say so in the ad.
  • The page your ad links to can't be mainly about these either: a restaurant's home page with a drinks menu among its pages is fine; a bottle-service page, a liquor store or a betting site isn't.

We'll look at this again once we can show ads only on the pages they fit.

The “Sponsored” label

Every ad on the site shows a visible “Sponsored” label, so readers can always tell an ad from our own content. The link on every ad carries rel="sponsored", which is how search engines expect paid links to be marked. Neither can be removed, for any advertiser — and your art can't cover the label or imitate parts of our site, such as buttons, menus or alerts.

Your art and your link

  • Two images: one for computers at 1940×500 (at least 970×250, at most 3880×1000) and one for phones at 600×500 (at least 300×250, at most 1200×1000), each the same shape as those sizes within 1%.
  • Still JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB each. No GIFs, animated PNGs, animation or video. A JPG carrying a camera rotation tag is refused — export it again from your design tool.
  • Clear about who it's from. A reader should know which business the ad is for.
  • A working https:// link (up to 500 characters) to a page that matches what the ad shows. It can't download files on its own or send people somewhere unrelated. The page has to keep following this policy for as long as your ad runs: turning it into something we didn't review counts as breaking it.
  • Promoting an event? Link to your own site or to your event page on Mega Tickets USA. A link to your event on another ticketing platform counts as advertising that platform (see What we don't accept).
  • A short description of the ad (3 to 120 characters), read aloud to people who can't see images. It has to describe the ad truthfully and follow this policy too.

Rights to what you show

You can only use logos, trademarks, photos, artwork and text that you own or have permission to use — including permission from people who appear in your photos, and for the photos and logos of any artist, venue or brand your ad shows. Name artists, venues and brands only truthfully — for example, an artist who is really performing at your event.

If someone tells us your ad uses their work, their image or their brand without permission, we may take the ad down (see Taking an ad down). A take-down is final: the ad doesn't come back for the rest of its weeks. If you then show us the complaint was wrong, the ad still doesn't come back, but we refund the days it didn't run, as described in If your ad goes down.

Think an ad on our site uses your work or your brand? Write to legal@megaticketsusa.com with a link to the page, what the ad copies, and how to reach you.

How we review

A person on our team looks at every ad, and the page it links to, before it runs — normally within 24 hours of your reservation. Whether an ad runs is our decision. We may decline an ad when:

  • it promotes a competing ticketing platform;
  • it shows something this policy doesn't accept;
  • the art is unreadable;
  • the link is broken or looks unsafe; or
  • for another reason, at our discretion.

Approving an ad means we're willing to run it — not that we've checked it's lawful, accurate or yours to use. That stays your responsibility.

Declined means you pay nothing. Your card is only held when you reserve. If we decline your ad, the hold is released and nothing is charged.

Taking an ad down

We can take an ad down — before it starts or while it runs — if the ad, or the page it links to, stops following this policy; if someone credibly tells us it infringes their rights or breaks the law; or if the law, a court or a public authority requires it. If we do, we e-mail you and your report shows the ad as taken down; write to contact@megaticketsusa.com with any questions. A take-down is final: the ad doesn't come back, and its remaining weeks go back on sale.

  • Before your first week starts, the ad never ran: you get a full refund to the same card, automatically.
  • Once it has started, the Advertising Terms apply: when an ad is taken down for breaking this policy, the remaining days aren't refunded, though we may refund part of the price at our discretion.

Changes and questions

We may update this policy; the date and version at the top show the latest, and the version posted when you reserve applies to your booking. Questions about whether your ad fits? Ask before you book — message us on WhatsApp or write to contact@megaticketsusa.com.
